Pixiedust Calligraphy Workshop 101

The workshop is a 2.5-hour session designed for absolute beginners, so just come and enjoy!

The first 1.5 hours will be covering basic techniques:

how to assembly of a calligraphy pen and ink tools
understanding basic brushstroke techniques
how to write the alphabet in modern calligraphy style in DIP pen

The second hour will be your turn to enjoy the beauty of calligraphy. Don’t worry, you will receive personal one-on-one guidance during your practice.

Perfect for

Complete beginners (you’re serious about calligraphy, or if you’re just hoping to learn a new skill for your future creative projects)
If you have some experience in calligraphy but are facing problems and seeking some one-on-one guidance. Problems may be ink flow, posture/positions, correctly using your tools and more, or
If you have experience in calligraphy but haven’t practiced it in a long time and want to refresh your knowledge and skills with proper guidance.

All supplies are provided!
Light refreshments will be supplied on the day. Class sizes are kept small to ensure personal attention for everyone.

Embossing & Brush Lettering

Pixiedust Calligraphy Workshop 201

You must have taken calligraphy 101 workshop with me or have experience with a dip pen and ink to take these workshops. The basics will not be taught.

During the 2 hours workshop, you will learn how to join letters using more flourishes and stylish flow. You will also learn how to create flourish accents and embellish your writing and finally we will practice writing a short quote to help you experience first hand, how meditative and calming calligraphy writing can be.

Workshop for brands

Each year we create a select amount of special calligraphy workshops which work perfectly as team bonding, away days or just to wow clients and influencers.
We offer an intimate introduction and exploration of modern calligraphy or brush lettering, in a beautifully styled experience tailored to your company and needs. The event can take place in your offices or in one of our recommended locations with beautiful bright spaces. The lessons typically last 2 hours and presents a mesmerizing demonstration and tuition to guests. Attendees receive a luxury calligraphy kit to take away. We can personalise items for your team, collaborate on goodie bags. No request is too big, and we love being creative with our classes, so let us know your ideas.
